History of Amingad's Karadant
In Uttara Karnataka there is a place called Amingad belongs to Hungund taluk and Bagalkot District, is famous for sweets like Karadantu and Ladaki Ladu both are prepared with Jaggary and Dry Fruits. The sweets are famous for so many years.
Basic Information :
In the year 1637 our forefather Sri. Virupakshayya, the brother of Sri Ma-Ni Pra Shivappayya is from Hiretamadaddi which belongs to Muddebihal taluk and Bijapur District was transferred his property to his own devotees. In 17 AD he had come to Amingad. In these days he had prepared the sweets like Karadantu and Ladaki Ladu, the Britishers have tasted the sweets and appreciated. The ancestors are Sri. Muragayya Virupakshayya Antin (Vastrad) was the main person for preparing the sweets. Now the 5th ancestor Sri Shanmukhayya Shivayya Vastrad (Antin) is famous for preparing the sweets.

Every year he takes participation in the faire of Banashankari Devi at Badami in Uttar Karnataka.
